Our Christmas Vlog + Holiday Deadlifts

Hey there! Guess where Adam and I are? Vegas baby! By the time you read this on Wednesday morning we’ll be all settled into our room at The Aria.

Today I wanted to share a vlog from our Christmas day and the day after:

I hope you enjoy the clips of Cecil opening his gifts and my latest trip to Sephora. I swear that place is addictive.

In 2018 I am going to spend less money on cosmetics …and more money on clothes. I need to make this important transition in my life because I have a ton of workout clothes and like 2 pieces of regular clothes!

I also really need to up my deadlift game. Just like I only recently got back into squatting heavy, on Saturday I did deadlifts for the first time in a long time.

My deadlift max from 2013 is 175lbs but on Saturday I was really struggling with 105lbs. I truly think I was having a bit of an off-day, but at the same time I am CRAZY SORE ALL OVER MY BODY from those deadlifts.

My traps, my legs, my arms, my hands… literally every part of the body that is involved in a deadlift is still super sore. I guess those muscles are being used for the first time in a while! It’s okay, they’ll get back into shape soon :).

Looking forward to using the Aria gym, which is super nice, while in Vegas. I’ll share pics asap! Follow me on Insta stories @kristinarunning for real time updates during our trip!

Anyone out there have a capsule wardrobe?
Have exciting plans for NYE?
Do deadlifts kill you too? πŸ˜€

My work wardrobe is basically a black skirt and gray tops! It makes my life easier picking out outfits. Looks like you are having a fun time in Vegas. Looking forward to hearing about it on the blog!

Thanks! I wanted to update while we’re here in Vegas but I forgot my laptop πŸ™

I’m glad you had a great Christmas and are now living it up in VEGAS, BABY. πŸ™‚ I hope the a/c got fixed. If you were somewhere where it’s cold, would you feel like it was Christmas? Because if I was eating my Christmas Eve dinner outside on patio furniture, it would NOT feel like Christmas!

My wardrobe leaves a lot to be desired…remember Stacey and Clinton – I need them LOL
Great work on the dead lifts, the weight will come back…but tackling them at any weight is progress πŸ™‚
