Progression Run, Tight Hip, Sleepy Cat
On Saturday TimeHop reminded me that it’s been THREE YEARS now since I finished my first 5K!
Adam ran his first 5K that day too. He finished before me and said when Kelly Clarkson’s “Stronger” came on he hoped that I would show up and finish before the song ended. How cute is that (even though the song isn’t really about being stronger physically, haha) ? I did finish during Stronger but I had my earbuds in so I didn’t hear it! #IStillLoveRunning
On Saturday I decided to do a progression run on the treadmill. It was all good fun until I was done and started stretching.
At first I was like “YEAH” and then I was like NO. My right hip was so so so so so tight.
Tight hips shouldn’t happen to good people. I stretch every single day. I say my prayers and take my vitamins. I don’t understand it!
But I’m coping okay. Instead of sitting on the couch to watch TV I just do couch stretch on the floor all night. Why would you want to sit on the couch anyway?

Yes, Cecil thinks the kitchen island is his bed. Yes, I know some pet parents like to pretend they don’t allow their pets on the table but that’s not me. Life is short, dance like no one is watching and sleep on the kitchen island if you want!
I’m writing this on Sunday before the Superbowl so I don’t know the outcome yet, but I’m simultaneously rooting for the Panthers because of the Coach Shula connection with the Miami Dolphins and also hoping that Peyton wins and goes out on top! Go teams!
