Ready for the Cape Coral Half this Sunday

If you follow me on Twitter (@KristinaRunning) then you may have seen me tweet this graphic yesterday. It’s definitely something to keep in mind when waiting at the starting line of a race!

Last night I got in a nice, easy four miler. This week all of my runs have felt amazing. I’m really looking forward to the Cape Coral half on Sunday. I hope to get over to the west coast early enough on Saturday to take a peek at the course before dinner.

The course is a nice little loop that’s described as flat and fast – my favorite kind! I’m excited to run in a completely new-to-me place.

Isn’t the medal for the race really pretty, too? I love it! It will look very nice hanging in my office :).

Before I sign off, I need you to do me a favor: please go wish Megan and Ali luck at the race this weekend! Megan is running the half like me (she’ll be finishing about 10 years before I do) and Ali is running the full. Both of them are going to PR and I’m going to be there! This is like getting front row tickets to a running concert ;).

Follow me on Instagram @KristinaRunning for updates all weekend long! Talk to ya again soon!

PS: I hope I’m not the only one streaming this right now:

I hope you have a great weekend. What are you most looking forward to?
When is your next race?

Aw I love Nsync! I saw them in concert once, and if they did a reunion, I would definitely go!! 🙂 My favorite was JC. I was never into Justin. I like his music and I think he is really talented. He is also a really nice person (so it seems from interviews) but it is clear to me that he KNOWS his shit doesn’t stink.

Despite all my worry and anxiety for the weekend, reading your post has made me VERY excited!!!! I love the meme you posted. Sometimes when running gets hard I think, “oh time to slow down, time to stop”, but no, it is supposed to suck sometimes! I am trying to mentally prepare for the suck!!!

I’m going to sign up to track you and Ali at the race so I can make sure I don’t miss you come in at the finish line! After you are recovered, we can figure out where to cheer Ali from!

LOL, so when I read “west coast” I thought out here, like CA. I was like “hey! Kristina’s going to be near me!” and then I realized you meant the west coast of Florida… duh. I’d say that my excuse is it’s early, but it’s not. I’m just not my smartest this morning 🙂

Have a great race! How fun that the three of you will all be running the same race! I’m looking forward to reading all about it.

So exciting! Fast and flat, yes. Kind of boring…I hope you’ve got some good tunes cranked up, or maybe the new season of Serial! You’re going to be great, and I’m excited to see you!
