The end of last week was pretty spectacular for me. I vlogged almost all of it, but I still need to edit the footage. I should have that up by tomorrow. I was going to edit it last night but my camera battery died and it takes forever to charge back up.
I had the BEST TIME EVER at the NXT shows in Miami and West Palm Beach! I won’t get into all the details today since I want to talk about it when I post up the weekend vlog, but suffice to say the shows were amazing. On Thursday night after his match Finn came over to see my Shamrock N Rolla sign and then thanked me for coming out. I wish I had said something in return but I just basically smiled ?.
Anyway, after driving all the way down to the University of Miami Thursday night for the show and then all the way up to the Palm Beach Amphitheater on Friday – I was just beat.
Saturday I slept in until 10am and then had breakfast with my mom. I showed her how to use Snapchat and she loves it, haha!
I just couldn’t wrap my mind around running when I was still feeling so exhausted, so I went to the gym for some cross training. I did 30 minutes on the elliptical and then an upper body lifting session.
Since I feel like the elliptical is weak sauce is comparison to a run, I felt the need to really go HAM on the lifting. I started off with assisted pull-ups but decreased the assist … and then I died. I somehow mustered up the strength to finish my lifts, but I also took liberal breaks in between sets while I thought of ways to get out of finishing the workout.
Like, maybe a dolphin was stranded on the beach and for some reason only I could save it? I better go check…
After thinking through a variety of scenarios where I could escape my lifting session I was DONE! AWESOME! I’M SUPER WOMAN! I FEEL AMAZING!
It’s funny how one’s perspective can change towards the end of a workout. I think we start thinking positive thoughts at the end because that’s what keeps us going back for more. We only remember the good times. It’s the brains way of keeping us on track with our fitness goals! ?
After the gym I relaxed on the couch and painted my nails with Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear in the shade 405 Coral Reef I also added Essie LuxEffects in Rock at the Top to my fourth nail for a little extra pop.
Sunday I woke up with a lot more energy then I’ve had in a while and got in a super sweaty 5 mile progression run on the treadmill. When I was putting together my spring training plan I knew I had the NXT shows and might be tired to I specifically scheduled last week as a down week. Sometimes I surprise myself with amazing foresight, haha!
Afterwards I checked the mail and discovered two small packages must have been delivered the day before.
One package contained my new Sonix iPhone case in Bahama ?! I’ve been wanting this case for about a year and finally pulled the trigger and bought it! 🙂
The second package contained my new cat watch! I realized that recently I’ve either bought or been gifted a lot of cat items.
^ My mom got me that cute cat coin purse when she was on vacation!
I don’t feel like a crazy cat lady but I probably am one! ?
