It’s FRIDAY! : )
After my good, short run/plank session on Tuesday I just had no motivation on Wednesday. Adam and I went to Outback for dinner and got home late and then I went to bed early, hence no post yesterday.
Last night I was lacking motivation again, but ended up getting three miles in just so I didn’t feel like a complete couch potato. It wasn’t an inspired run but it felt good once I got going. (Doesn’t it always?)
I’m looking forward to closing the chapter on this week and getting back to my normal running habits this weekend.
I think my running has been uninspired because work has been kind of crazy. I know some people use running to relieve stress … and I’ve had one or two good angry runs … but mostly I find that my best runs occur when I’m already in a really good mood. I like to run happy!
Tonight I’m not sure if I’ll run because I’ve got a birthday dinner celebration to go to for a friend who is turning the big 3-0 (!!!). But Saturday I’ve got seven miles on the book and I intend to make them seven awesome miles.

This isn’t a sponsored post or anything, but I wanted to tell you that the treats are called Pure Bites and Cecil LOVES them. I’ve gotten him both the chicken and turkey and he goes nuts. I think it’s because it’s just freeze dried chicken/turkey… nothing else.
Technically I could eat a piece if I wanted, although I don’t : ) I did try a cat treat once when I was younger … it was the most disgusting thing ever. Bad decision. In hind sight I have no idea why I thought it would be a good decision. Like … if the treat tasted good was I just going to start eating cat treats?!

What do you do when you have a bad running week?
-I try to figure out why, but I don’t fight it. An off week will happen sometimes. I just try to mentally close the door on the uninspired runs and look forward to the good runs in my future!
