Second PT Appointment, Done!
Hey guys! Can you believe it’s Wednesday already?
I went to PT again yesterday and I have to say the massage makes my calves feel brand new. Immediately after the massage yesterday they felt so loose… like I haven’t felt them in years. I honestly forgot this is how your calves are supposed to feel because I’ve gotten so used to them being tight 24/7.
I told my PT how my calves felt battered after the last massage so this time she iced me up at the end to try and help them avoid the inflammation phase.
I’m typing this about an hour after PT ended and I think they are starting to feel sore already so I’m not sure that helped a lot but it was worth a try.
I honestly don’t care that my calves are going to be sore because overall they already feel so much better. I’m honestly kicking myself for not going sooner. I really thought what I was experiencing was “normal” until it definitely wasn’t.
My PT said I can go running and see how it feels. She said she’s interested in knowing if I can run longer before having to stop and stretch. I was going to go after the appointment but I heard thunder and I don’t mess around with thunder and lightning.
Plus at this point it’s been over a week since I last ran AND my calves feel good so I almost feel hesitant to go for a run. I’m so optimistic that this is the answer that I’m afraid to find out that it’s not so the thunderstorm was a good excuse to skip.
We actually got three inches of rain yesterday alone!
I go to the orthopedic surgeon on Thursday in the morning and then back to PT in the afternoon, so I’m definitely going to go running tomorrow. I want to have a good, recent update on my calves to give the doctor.
Oh, you won’t believe this, but I’m actually getting really good at having an afternoon snack now!
I still love Picky Bars but I have branched out into trying RXBars as well. The peanut butter one sucks in my humble opinion, but this mixed berry one is amazing.
I guess I’m really into berries right now, with this mixed berry bar and my berry shakes.
Just call me the berry queen.
