So Much on My Mind!

Hi! What are you up to today? I’ve got a new vlog to share that was filmed over the weekend :).

If you’re not already subscribed to my YouTube channel I would looove if you would click HERE and subscribe for free!

Adam and I had to go new bed shopping on Saturday which turned into an adventure. We picked out the most gorgeous headboard. It’s tall, grey and padded. Both of us were in love with it.

We have high, vaulted ceilings in the bedroom so having a tall headboard made sense. The one we picked out is 67 inches, which is really tall but also perfect for the space. Unfortunately when the delivery guys came on Sunday to set it up, the headboard wouldn’t fit up the L bend in our staircase.

They had to take the headboard away and we had to go back to the showroom to pick a new, shorter one. This ended up being a blessing in disguise because for just a little more money we found an even more gorgeous headboard and bed frame – this time a sleigh bed! Just call us Mr. and Mrs. Claus :).

The new bed gets delivered on Wednesday – I can’t wait to show you (especially because I forgot to take a pic in the showroom).

Yesterday when I got home I had several exciting deliveries waiting for me!

The Amazon box is just Cecil’s food. I order it in bulk on Amazon to save a few pennies since he eats expensive food. (Are you surprised? HAHAH). The other boxes are full of stuff for BEAMM!!!!!

First, I am super excited to say that The Cat’s Meow mugs are now in stock! Use code KRISTINASFRIEND to take $5.00 off your order and enjoy free shipping :).

Also, I have added cat stickers to the store for teachers, parents and anyone else who loves stickers. I’m going to add mine on every surface :). They’re only $3.50 per sheet and they ship free like everything else in the shop.

Remember a donation is made for every product your purchase on the BEAMM website — not just every order, but every product within your order raises money for animal shelters!

Later this week or early next week I’ll have more generic office supplies/stationary to share with you because I know not everyone is a cat person. And honestly, the stuff on its way is just gorgeous! I can’t wait to share!

On another note, I feel like it’s been too long since I’ve done a running post. I miss running a lot. I watched my favorite ultrarunning documentary over the weekend and now it’s all I can think about.

Tomorrow I am going to let myself go for a 5-10 minute run before I do my lifting workout. It’s been well over a month since the last time I ran for any significant amount of time, and I just know it will be 5 minutes of bliss.

As much as I hate that I don’t even get to go for the compartment syndrome test until August 9th, the month of July is flying by. I am grateful for the fact that I am staying busy and that the days are passing quickly.

I also keep reminding myself that by Thanksgiving I will not only be back to running but I will probably be building my mileage up. Thanksgiving is still a long way off, but at least it gives me a timeframe to focus on that seems realistic!

I know what I’ll be extra thankful for this year.

How did your last run go? Give me all the details so I can live vicariously through you!ย

I think it’s good to focus on Thanksgiving, or a date you’ll be running again, to boost your spirits instead of dwelling on the present. It sucks but I think the time will go by faster than you know. Hopefully your new business and lots of house stuff will keep you busy and take your mind off things!

That’s the plan! Stay busy and keep the focus on when I CAN run again and not the fact that I can’t do it now. It’s definitely a matter of practicing patience, which I have never been good at!

  2. Heather [is probably running]

Sorry your new headboard didn’t fit, but it sounds like you love the replacement one that you found! Hopefully there will be no delivery issues tomorrow.

Nice Ulta haul! I try to limit myself to only shopping when Ulta has a good promo like 20% off your purchase or point multipliers. It really cuts down on my impulse buying. Also realizing that I have enough eyeshadow to last me the rest of my life…haha.

I did love the replacement … and it got delivered last night and wouldn’t fit up the stairs!!!! hah! The saga continues!

I always wondered what would happen if furniture didn’t fit into the house when it’s delivered! Oh man, sorry that didn’t work, but glad there was a silver lining.
As for yesterday’s post – you look great in all of those dresses! I don’t wear many dresses in the winter because I have to wear nylons, and it’s a pain if I go to the gym on my lunch hour.
And for what it’s worth, not many of my runs have been good lately. Going to be going on a running break soon! ๐Ÿ™

I just read your recent post about having to take a long break this coming fall. I’m sorry to hear that but hopefully it will lead to feeling a million times better when you’re back to running. I totally get how frustrating taking a break is.

Luckily the delivery guys were able to just keep taking it away — and we were able to get store credit. So the first bed we picked out was the lowest price, and with each delivery that the bed doesn’t fit the cost keeps going up! lol oh well. What can you do! We’re having our third delivery this Saturday. If that doesn’t fit I may have to DIY a headboard!!!

    The concealer looks really good!!
I ended up getting the ELF stippling brush and a few other brushes and I love the stippling one for reapplying powder ๐Ÿ™‚ I would have tried ELF if you didn’t encourage it.

It goes on really nicely although it’s super sheer and not great coverage. It does help brighten up the under eye area though!

I’m so glad that you took the chance on ELF. I am honestly always so impressed with their products especially for the price point!

I pretty much order everything (except groceries) on line…including Macy’s food. I can’t be bothered to actually enter stores these days but some how I can do a lot of damage from my PC! How did the short run go?

    1. Kristina

SAME! I can’t be bothered and I don’t want to :). Except for Sephora/Ulta. I like the experience of picking out makeup in person.

I was ordering my groceries online for a while from a delivery service but I’ve started going in store again. When I ordered online I never ventured out of the “previously purchased” category and I am trying to spread my wings a little haha!

  6. Megan @ Meg Go Run

I am going to wait to make an order until I see the other goodies that are coming in. ๐Ÿ™‚ I hope your 5-10 min run is awesome! You are doing a really good job staying busy. I admire that!
