Starting to Get Back into Speedwork!

GUYS! I am so excited to say last night I did my first fartlek since wayyyyyy before surgery :). I’m so so so so happy to not just be back to running but back to training.

I go into the details of the workout in my vlog:

I love running but running with purpose is the best :). I mean not like I did some crazy speedwork session or anything, just a very simple fartlek but it was still amazing. I’ll take what my body will give me these days haha!

    I haven’t done any planned speedwork, but the few HARD, FAST runs I’ve done have left me feeling SO good and strong. It feels amazing to sweat again to feel like you’re really working. Right now I’m enyjoing just building my mileage back up…I don’t feel confident enough to try spadework yet.

    I still haven’t really done any speedwork with the hammie situation, but I’ve kinda pushed the pace a little on some tempo runs. No where near what I used to do, but I’m also good with that! I hope everything is OK with your Dad. My Dad had knee surgery again, so I’ve had a few trips to see him at the hospital, but he’s home now and doing well. What, going to the ortho?? Do tell!
