I’m a little late to the party, but WHAT A GAME on Sunday, eh? Those last five minutes were crazy!
Before we talk about the game, let’s just rewind for a second and head back to Saturday when I got in a nice little 2-miler and an upper body lifting session!
When it comes to bent-over-rows I typically do 5 x 5 with a 25lb dumbbell and will sometimes do an extra set with a 30 or 35lb dumbbell.
On Saturday I did a warmup set with a 20lb dumbbell and then did 5 x 5 with a 30lb dumbbell!!!
Watch out guys, I’m hulking out over here!
I also did my two miler at 12:50 pace (13:01, 12:40) without even meaning to. On short, easy runs I usually aim for 13:30+ pace but on Saturday I just went by feel and ended up surprising myself! It was a good workout day for me!
Stronger + Faster #Beastmode (I bet Coach Carroll wishes he could take that play back! I feel so bad for him and Russell Wilson because I really like both of them).
Sunday was all about the long run (7 miles), food prep and watching
Tom Brady FOOTBALL!
It was just a little bit bright out but the weather was a perfect 71 degrees in the morning.
My hip started feeling a little tight at the end of the run, but it’s nothing that a little stretching can’t fix.
While I was out running Cecil went through the Runner’s World cookbook picking out recipes for the week.
He had the great idea to make the Long-Run Cake with Peanut Butter Cream Cheese Frosting! According to the cookbook it is vegetarian, low calorie and gluten-free.
I haven’t made it yet but I already know it’s going to be soooo good!
The rest of my Sunday was spent parked in front of the TV cheering on the Patriots who represented the AFC East well!
Before the game we all filled out a survey predicting things about the game and I got the most predictions right – including final score of the game! Somebody take me to Vegas!
Get any snow where you are over the weekend?
What did you think of the Superbowl Halftime Show? I didn’t love it. I thought Katy’s outfit choices and sets were a bit blah.
