Sweatybands, Minnie Ears and Mustaches

Thank you to everyone for all of your great advice on how to race my 5K this weekend! I appreciate it sooo much.

Last night Adam and I were both feeling pretty blah, so we just did an easy gym day. He did light lifting and I did some interval training on the elliptical. Not our greatest night as King and Queen of our little gym, but no one was there to see us phone it in : )

If you read Ali’s blog at Hit The Ground Running you know that she has lots of pretty headbands that she wears while running. After reading her blog for the last year+ I have decided that I have to copy her style and start wearing them too.

I actually just got a hair cut and I told the hairdresser that I wanted my hair just long enough that I could still put it up in a ponytail. She sort of fulfilled that request… I can put it up in a ponytail but I have little straggler hairs that fall back down on my neck. I hate that so much so this little sparkly Sweatyband is helping them stay up.

Luckily my Minnie ears for the Princess Half are in the form of a headband so they will keep the straggler hairs off my neck too!

Today I’ve got a moderately paced five miles on my schedule and I’m really looking forward to getting them in. I haven’t run outdoors in a few days and I’m looking forward to the fresh air.

When I don’t get out of the house except for work, things like this happen:

I think he looks really distinguished.

One day closer to the weekend! Any big plans? V-day plans?

I’m glad you’re liking the pretty headbands!! They make me feel so girly when I’m running haha. Next thing you know I’ll be trying out running skirts!

Cecil’s mustache is the BEST THING EVER OMG!

I used to wear those unisex headbands from Nike/Adidas/etc. but they were not a good look for me, haha.

Are you dressing as Minnie for your Disney half?! Awesome! I have a RunDisney Sweatyband that I got from a friend that ran the Dopey Challenge, haven’t worn it yet. He gave it to me to try to convince me to run a Disney race, I totally want to, just gotta save up. Good luck at the 5k on Saturday!

I wear those old school jazzercise headbands and my fiance makes fun of me all the time. But when I forge them, my eyes are buring from the sweat. Valentines day plans are probably dinner on Monday and kindergarden party on Friday, it will be awesome. Fiance is running a 10K on Sunday so kids and I will be playing pit crew for her, looking forward to cheering her on!

The thin headbands never stay on for me, no matter which brand I’ve tried. And they always look so cute! If I want to wear a headband it has to be one of the thicker ones.

Cecil!!! I need to put a ‘stache on Jelly one of these days… Maybe today, as I am enjoying my 1000th snow day at home. You make me laugh. King and Queen of your gym. 🙂 I like your writing style!

I love the sparkle bands 🙂 I have lots of print ones, but I may need a little sparkle lol The Minnie ears are great! You need a bunch of pictures on half day! The reason I think I started blogging was to avoid housework lol Cecil is looking very handsome 😉
