Thank you to everyone for all of your great advice on how to race my 5K this weekend! I appreciate it sooo much.
Last night Adam and I were both feeling pretty blah, so we just did an easy gym day. He did light lifting and I did some interval training on the elliptical. Not our greatest night as King and Queen of our little gym, but no one was there to see us phone it in : )
If you read Ali’s blog at Hit The Ground Running you know that she has lots of pretty headbands that she wears while running. After reading her blog for the last year+ I have decided that I have to copy her style and start wearing them too.
I actually just got a hair cut and I told the hairdresser that I wanted my hair just long enough that I could still put it up in a ponytail. She sort of fulfilled that request… I can put it up in a ponytail but I have little straggler hairs that fall back down on my neck. I hate that so much so this little sparkly Sweatyband is helping them stay up.
Luckily my Minnie ears for the Princess Half are in the form of a headband so they will keep the straggler hairs off my neck too!
Today I’ve got a moderately paced five miles on my schedule and I’m really looking forward to getting them in. I haven’t run outdoors in a few days and I’m looking forward to the fresh air.
When I don’t get out of the house except for work, things like this happen:
