I showered before bed the other night, which meant I woke up with uncontrollable hair in the morning. Oh, well.
No client meetings today, so I just didn’t care : )
(But I was reminded of why I should never go to bed with wet hair… and I did use some hairspray at lunch to fix it.)
After work I hopped on the treadmill to try for 3 to 4 easy miles, but I could still feel whatever it is that was bothering my knee on Saturday. I decided to cut the run short and went home to watch the HEAT WIN and advance to the semi-finals.
Pre-run I was complaining to Adam about how the Kind bars I bought over the weekend advertise themselves as being peanut butter + dark chocolate but that I couldn’t taste any PB at all. He wisely suggested I add my own, and I ended up with an AMAZING snack. This may be my pre-run snack for the rest of my life!
Speaking of indulgences, I have decided to cut out my Starbucks habit for the time being. I’m still trying to impress my financial advisor and have decided to see if I can survive without my afternoon Awake tea.
Instead I’m making my own tea at the office in this cute mug that my friend gave me when we met up last week:
I don’t think I’ve ever posted a picture on the blog where I’m wearing my glasses, but in grad school I used to wear them ALL THE TIME because my eyes were always tired (as was the rest of me, haha).
A few sips into this cup I was thinking it tasted awful and that I needed to go mainline some Starbucks, but it turns out the milk I used was spoiled. I hope I don’t die.
What day of the week do you do speedwork and/or how many days after your long run do you do speedwork?
– Just curious as to what the routines of other runners is like!
