The Last Straw

Hey there! Hope your week is off to a great start. Yesterday was a busy Monday work-wise, but I was able to get in a decent run too.

My legs felt trashed from deadlifting on Sunday, but you gotta run on the days you don’t feel like it to see improvement. Or something like that.

My current fitness hero is Cori. She squats and deadlifts pretty much the same as me, except she is also currently training for Boston on top of that! She recently wrote about what it’s like to balance lifting and running and how some days can feel brutal. I’m in awe, but I’ve been in awe of Cori since high school :).

If you don’t read her blog you should!

Thank you for dropping in today for a read! If we aren't already friends on Insta say hi to me @kristinarunning.

I use reusable plastic straws but they have ridges in them and are SO hard to clean. I like the idea of glass straws that come with a pipe cleaner! I don’t know how to get rid of my reusable straws…I don’t know if they’re recyclable!

Oh yeah that’s a tough one! So far the glass straws have been great but I’ve only used them to drink water haha!

I just got done cleaning two of my reusable straws! I bought a bag of pipe cleaners and use those to wash them, but I use the pipe cleaners a few times before tossing those, because it feels like I’m defeating the purpose of using reusable straws, if I add pipe cleaners to the garbage, instead of a straw.

Oh that’s a good point! I didn’t even really think of throwing away the pipecleaners like that. Hmmm!
