The New Base of the Food Pyramid

Guys, somehow I am still sick. I lost my voice for a couple of days from coughing so much but it’s coming back and I think I am on the upswing! I’ve been eating cough drops like they are the base of the food pyramid and I’m determined to get back to normal this week!

Since I haven’t been able to go out at all the last couple of days I’ve spent some time planning out the rest of my year: races, vacations and blog stuff. More on all of that soon!

Despite hacking up a lung there have been many bright spots! First, I received an important delivery. New makeup primer and a new bag of cough drops. I thank God everyday for giving me Adam. He always knows exactly what I need.

I also got this furniture guide in the mail. I’m guessing it’s because we ordered our pegola from Target.com. I honestly don’t know if I’ve ever seen a more beautiful piece of junk mail.

I want to buy everything. I am experiencing shopping withdrawal symptoms since I haven’t left my house since Thursday. Well, actually I did buy myself the 360 ring from Mejuri on Saturday. I was feeling down about losing my voice and needed to cheer myself up :). I’ve had the ring saved to my shopping cart for weeks and finally took the plunge!

Cecil has been a great nurse. He is happily keeping me company during my million naps, and also when I’m distracting myself with Esteé Lalonde videos on YouTube.

I recommend a lot of random things here on my blog, but my best recommendation is to get yourself a perfect cat. There are plenty of them at the shelter that need homes and nothing will make your day like earning the affection of a cat! I want to get like 50 more.

So, there’s been absolutely no running going on here since I can barely walk down the stairs without sending myself into a coughing fit. I am definitely ready to get back out into the fresh air SOON. Please send positive, healthy thoughts my way!

Best thing about your weekend?
Let me live vicariously through you!

I’m so sorry you have been so sick! I hope you are on the mend ASAP. I didn’t do anything fun this weekend- it was all about being productive and catching up on stuff I feel behind on during the week.

That sounds like a good weekend to me. I think my upcoming weekend will be like that since I am falling behind in all areas of my life right now! 😀

Feel better quick! Advil cold & sinus has become my new favorite over the counter!

Thanks Christine! I’m trying my hardest. I do feel way better today than I have in a while but I still have this awful cough when I talk too much. When I’m just sitting in silence I’m (mostly) fine!

What is that cool stone wall in your bedroom??? Your bedroom looks so bright and cheerful! That ring is very pretty! Do you ever get nervous about losing your rings?

That’s our shower! 😀 Since our bedroom/bathroom are open they blend into each other.

The only ring I get nervous about losing is my diamond (and I’m super paranoid about it)! Everything else is replaceable and fairly inexpensive.

Sorry to hear you’ve been sick. Hope you are feeling better. That ring though….. 🙂

Hope you get better soon Kristina!

Have you tried drinking Golden Milk latte? It is really good for the immune system.
By the way, I have that same bed cover lol.

Get better soon! Getting sick really sucks, but at least you have Cecil to take care of you! I spent my weekend in Moab going Canyoneering in Arches National Park. It was pretty awesome. However, I’m just getting over an injury, so it was my first real tough weekend since getting to Utah.

I swear I commented on this earlier! I was wondering what is that cool rock wall in your bedroom. Your bedroom is so bright! Do you ever get scared of losing your rings?

Awwww 🙁 Sorry to hear you are still going through the sickness. Blah!! I hope you will be back to 100% soon. And ditto on your comment about the cats at the shelter. I can assure you there are dozens of loving kitties just waiting for a new home!

There is a weird virus going around with lots of coughing but no fever or anything. Maybe that’s what you have! The sudden return of humidity knocked me down Monday and Tuesday – I had the worst migraine and my entire head felt like a melon!

I have heard great things about that Becca primer 🙂
