HAPPY FRIDAY! Last night I ran 3.5 miles on my favorite beach loop. My legs were feeling a little bit tight for the first mile, but eventually I settled into an easy rhythm.
For me, there’s just nothing like a night run at the beach. All the stress of this week just melted away … and my hip didn’t give me any problems. YAY!
The week before my half I didn’t run much because my right hip was so tight. Miraculously the morning of the race my hip felt perfectly normal. Then when I ran on the treadmill on Wednesday my hip started tightening up again. Last night it was back to normal. I think my body is telling me that it doesn’t want to run on the treadmill anymore!
This weekend I have big plans. Aside from following along Transgrancanaria 125K and rooting for my favorite runners, I’ll be using my fancy new camera to take pictures of the Spring 2014 Collection for Lilypad Candles (my soy candle shop).
I’ve been playing with my DSLR camera every night (the above pic was taken with my iPhone though). I think I know just enough now to take some decent pictures : )
Other than that I am just going to sit back and relax. The weather has been really warm so I am thinking about spending all day Sunday lounging by the pool. Might as well take advantage of living in Florida, right? I should probably go to the beach instead… but the beach is for running not for lounging in my book!
