Argh, no post yesterday because I’M SICK! I hate being sick. It’s the worst! I wasn’t feeling great when I woke up on Sunday and things just went progressively downhill after that.
I haven’t run since Saturday!
Truthfully I am feeling so bad that running just doesn’t sound appealing (GASP!). And this is coming from a girl who has popped Vicodin so she could run through neck spasms.
The last few days the only marathon on my mind has been making my way through the final season of True Blood as quickly as possible. I watched all 10 episodes in 2 days. I’m going to write to the Boston Athletic Association and ask if that counts as a BQ.
I didn’t love the series finale but I did think this last season was better than the previous two seasons combined.
I really liked that Hoyt and Jessica got back together. That was really unexpected and appealed to the romantic in me! I’m not sure how many readers are True Blood fans though so I’ll just leave it at that for now.
As for my plan going forward? Well, I ate more yesterday than I had been eating and my intention is to run a couple of easy miles tonight. Or at least one easy mile. Or at least a half a mile. Just something that doesn’t make me feel like I’m completely wasting my last precious few weeks of marathon training before the big day.
Just the fact that I can actually think about running without wanting to curl up into a ball under the covers is a good thing. I fully intend to write a post tomorrow that says I RAN YESTERDAY. Maybe not in all caps.
