Throwback Thursday!

I hardly ever do Throwback Thursdays but I have a couple of throwback pics to share today!

My mom was going through some old boxes earlier this week and came across photos from ages ago. The first throwback photo is of ME with Woofy, my favorite doggy in the world.

I still have Woofy! He’ll be 28 years old this year and I still think he’s the greatest thing on this planet. He looks slightly more worn than he does in this photo – some might say he’s literally falling apart – but he looks like a million bucks to me!

My mom said the day ^ this picture was taken I told my grandma that Woofy needed to wear underwear and made her cut a hole in the back so that his tail could fit through ?.

When I was just shy of 12 years old my mom let me adopt my first cat, Leo. Here he is a few days after we brought him home. I honestly get all choked up looking at this picture because I loved this cat with my whole heart and I still miss him very much.

Here we are together right after he moved in with Adam and I (my freshman and sophomore year of college Leo lived with my parents since student housing didn’t allow pets).

And this here is Timberlake aka Timby. My mom and I adopted him right before I turned 13 so he’s aptly named after Justin Timberlake!

He was the friendliest cat that I ever met. He put up with kids, he loved being the center of attention and nothing made him happier than being brushed. He was my mom’s buddy and was always by her side.

Seeing these old pictures was such a nice surprise this week. Another surprise was realizing just how bad picture quality was back in the day! We’ve come a long way… thank goodness!

Did you have a favorite stuffed animal / blanket growing up? Still have it?!
When did you get your first pet and what kind was it?
My first pet was a turtle named Myrtle!

Awwwww what a cutie you were! Beautiful cats too. I have a better camera in my phone nowadays, frightening to think how much technology has progressed in such a short time!

Aw love all these pics! I don’t have anything like that from when I was young. My mom says I had a doll I was obsessed with but I somehow lost it in a grocery store!

Awww look at you!!! Too cute! I didn’t have any stuffed animals. I did however adopt my first dog Brittany when I was 10 I think. She was a springer spaniel mix and my best animal friend!

I had a “baby pillow” that went with me all the way to college! It actually was replaced in middle/high school from a homemade pillow given to me as a baby to a pillow j stole from our patio set!

I have a lot of really poor quality pics lol it is amazing isn’t it.
Leo and Timby both look so sweet, all animals have such unique little personalities. I just love ’em 🙂

I love that you have a bowl cut AND pigtails in that pic! It makes me wonder what your hair looked like down.

Our first pets always stick with us in a way that’s indescribable. Looking at pictures of mine makes me feel the same way – happy to have known them, but devastated at their loss.
