Today is Surgery Day!

Guys, I’m literally petrified. The thought of being knocked out for the purpose of someone cutting my legs open with knives (or whatever they use) is horrifying. It’s scary in general but also I have serious control issues so this is just a total nightmare for me.

I literally want to print this out and give it to my doctor because it’s true.

BUT I am so ready to put exertional compartment syndrome behind me. If you consider that I first started experience issues with my calves over 1.5 years ago this really has been a long time coming. Tomorrow starts the comeback.

I want to say wish me luck, but I’m sure luck has nothing to do with it. I trust that I am in the capable hands of a board certified surgeon and anesthesiologist. I am going to live! I have been repeating this over and over to myself for DAYS now.

Please leave me a funny joke or good story (or anything) in the comments below. The story can literally be about anything. When I get home from the hospital I will need something to entertain and distract me! πŸ˜€

PS: Thank you guys for sticking with me. I am a running blogger who hasn’t run in months now. I appreciate that you still want to be friends! xoxoxoxoxoxoxox

Please comment below with a funny joke or good story to distract/entertain me when I get home from surgery! πŸ™‚

Ok here’s your jokes: “Why is the cat so grouchy? Because he’s in a bad mewd” LOL, right? and how about “What side of the cat has the most fur? The OUT-side.” harharhar
I’m going to be all jealous of you when you’re back out there training hard, and I’m still dragging along with my annoying hamstrings. (actually, I hope we will both be training hard again soon!!!) Hope it went well today!

Christmas gets so excited when I get home from work that he always drops a big deuce in the litter box. It stinks SO BAD. Then I end up talking to him in a high pitched voice about what a big, big boy he is and about how bad his poop smells!!!!!
    <3 you Kristina!!! <3

Doing a little backstalking here (since I’ve fallen off the face of the Earth…at least as far as the blogosphere is concerned, lol) and I know you’ve been talking about the issues with your calves for a looong time! Glad you found a solution — but, of course, surgery is always super scary, no matter what!!
