Try This 3 Minute At Home Booty Workout

Happy Friday! Can every week have just three work days? I feel simultaneously relaxed and productive. This is the right work/life balance. Now I just have to figure out how to convince my boss this is the right balance :).

Yesterday when I got home from work I was in the mood for a good strength training workout. After eating a bunch of meals out during our mini staycation I was feeling really bloated and needed a good workout.

I have no idea if working out helps with bloating physically, but I can vouch for it working mentally!

As usual when I’m not really sure what kind of routine I want to do, I scanned Carly Rowena’s youtube channel. I found a 3 minute butt and thigh workout that sounded good.

This workout includes:

Backwards Lunge to High Knee – 20 reps/10 each leg
Squat Kick – 10 reps/5 each side
Squat Jumps – 10 reps
Glute Raise – 20 reps/10 each leg
Froggers – 10 reps
Jump Lunges – 20 reps/10 each leg
Squat Jumps – 10 reps
Glute Raises – to end of song*

You repeat this workout as many times as you want to. Personally after three rounds my legs were feeling good and tired so I moved on to a short upper body workout:

Bench Press – 3 x 7
Shoulder Press – 3 x 7
Bent Over Rows – 3 x 7
Bicep Curls – 2 x 10
Plank – 3 x 60 seconds

After that it was almost 8pm and I was feeling like toast. Happy toast :). Gotta love that endorphin rush. Getting it from strength training isn’t the same as running but these days I’ll take it any way I can get it! HAHA!

After my workout Cecil had to show me some important things he saw outside. Birds. Bugs. The mail lady delivering our mail kind of late. (I hope everything is okay.)

Anyway, I hope you have a great Friday! Do something exciting for yourself today. I will be stopping to get a hazelnut coffee :).

Oh and if you have a free minute checkout my vlog from earlier this week!

Talk to you again soon!

What will you do today to treat yourself?

That looks like a really great workout! I am treating myself today by taking the afternoon off! We are heading to Boulder to watch my nephew play in his state baseball tournament. Happy Friday, girl!

Aw I used to be able to do most of those exercises! Anything involving a squat or lunge is still in the “hell no” category for me. ๐Ÿ™ So glad I spent nearly $1000 on PT…

HMMMM what will I do to treat myself??? I feel like my whole summer is a treat! But today I am excited because my parents are coming over to help us put on our storm door!!! ๐Ÿ™‚

I’m sorry about PT. I sort of feel in the same boat. I mean the massages I got at PT hurt like hell and I’m not sure they did a whole lot. Or if the scar tissue is all gone – or if I’ll have more after the surgery. Who knows.

Hope the door hanging was a success!

Still no podcasts listening for me…
I just added this to my work out videos ๐Ÿ™‚ I need to start doing more consistent with strength stuff again, I have been slacking.
I am 100% on board with less work lol

You will like the workout, except it FEELS like it lasts way longer than 3 minutes! ๐Ÿ˜€

    Hi Kristina! Loved the workout!

Not very much exiting plans for this weekend right here. My current favorite podcast is the love happiness and success podcast. I was actually just listening to it earlier on my run.
