Vlog: New Hair, Stridebox Unboxing & Running

Hi there! Today I’ve got a new vlog to share!

Did you see? On Saturday night we went to see Get Out at the drive-in theater! I’ve never been to a drive-in before, it was pretty cool! We brought our own snacks from home and curled up under a blanket :). Tickets were only $7 per person which is a steal compared to what we pay when we go to our normal theater!

As for this week, so far I’ve left work at 4-ish every day :). Last night I got in a great five miler under the sun!

I feel so much more like myself when I get in a good run after work! I listened to my podcasts and before I knew it the run was over.

It was definitely one of those nights where I would have added on another mile or two if it was the weekend and I had a little extra time.

I had to rush home and feed Cecil his dinner though… trust me when I say that he doesn’t like to wait! You should hear him whine and cry when he has to wait for like five minutes. The drama! 😀

How was your run yesterday?
Have you ever been to a drive-in theater?

What’s the last movie you saw?

Glad you have been able to leave work early and get your run in! I think I saw a drive in movie when I was like 8 years old or so.

Thanks Lisa, it’s definitely been nice! I scheduled an eye doctor appointment yesterday at 5:30pm to force myself to leave on time again 😀 haha I just need to keep scheduling appointments!

What an interesting drive in theater! We have several drive ins within 45 min of here, because let’s face it, I live very close to the “boonies” and that’s where we have drive ins! However, at all of the drive ins around here, there is only one screen. They are only open in the summer and they show two movies on Fri-Sun. You pretty much pay one price for both movies. However, we don’t go a lot because the first movie is always a kid movie (which we don’t like), and then the second movie ends up not starting till like 11pm! That’s late!

    Mmmm… Adams biceps!

He definitely opens stride boxes different than you. You careful take one thing out at a time, Adam dumps it on the counter! Hahahahah!

    Your hair looks beautiful!

Oh man 11pm is late! I would definitely fall asleep during the movie (like I always do when Adam makes me go to midnight showings, haha)!

Peanut butter ice cream flavored bar? That sounds delicious right up until that 1 gram of sugar thing.

I have to tell you that the pb flavored ice cream bar ended up being pretty good! It doesn’t have a ton of flavor but the little bit of flavor it has is yummy and there is no weird protein powdery aftertaste!

Wait.. you don’t get blisters? How is that ?

    your hair looks lovely!!

I’ve never been to a drive in movie ! it looks so fancy, but the one nearby looks shady.

I have no idea, I think it’s because I always wear moisture wicking socks? I honestly cannot remember the last time I got a blister from my running shoes!

The one we went to looks shady too, haha. It’s at a place called the Swap Shop which is not generally a place I would go hang out lol!

I’ve gone to the drive in a few times, but they are sooooooo late! There is no way I’d be able to stay awake now! This past weekend we were going to watch Miss Peregrines Home for Peculiar Children, but after a few minutes the kids were all hiding behind pillows and said it was too scary!! So, we watch Sing instead. Sing was a cute movie (and yep, I fell asleep during the last 10 mins!! doh!).

Wow how interesting that drive-ins tend to be late up north – Megan said the same thing. Our drive-in starts movies at different times depending on the season I guess since they only want to show them when the sun is down – 8pm was perfect for this time of year!

Sing looks like a really cute movie – the trailer reminds me of season one of Glee!

Oh my gosh I haven’t been to the movies in such a long time 🙁 I think the last one I saw was Fantastic Beasts the first weekend that it came out. I used to go the the movies every other week but now its every few months.

I honestly laughed out loud when you had the wristband on your hand and were like “help!” That is me daily.

I don’t love Nuun much either. I don’t get the hype!
