We Went to the Taylor Swift Concert!

Hey there! How was your weekend? My friend Kristina and I went to see Taylor Swift in concert at Hardrock Stadium on Saturday night, so I guess you could say my weekend was pretty great:

I think Taylor performed for almost 2.5 hours which was much longer than I was expecting. I think she did pretty much every song from Reputation as well as a few of her other hits. She played guitar, played the piano, sang, danced and flew over part of the crowd on a mechanical snake!

When we got out of the concert I had a dead battery which wasn’t great, but someone gave us a jump and we made it home. It turns out that it might be my alternator (or something else) and not just a dead battery since Adam tested the battery and it’s still good.

I’ll take my car into the shop this week and have it checked. Depending on what’s wrong and how much it’s going to cost to fix I might finally just get a new car. I don’t really want to since I barely drive anymore so it doesn’t feel like a good investment, but my car is 8 years old and has over 100,000 miles on it so it also wouldn’t be a good investment to sink thousands into repairing it if something major is wrong. I hope it’s just the alternator.

Anyway, I’m sure it will all be fine…. I’m just going to shake shake shake it off and have a good Monday! πŸ™‚

Even though I only know a few Taylor Swift songs (the popular ones on the radio), I think she would put on a pretty great show so that would be fun to see her in concert. You have a lot of miles on your car! Hopefully it’s a small fix.

      *fingers crossed*

It was so much fun and I was soooo surprised that she was on stage for 2.5 hours! That’s a long time for a one woman show… I mean she had backup dancers for a lot of the songs, but she also did quite a few solo! I was so impressed!

I hope it’s an easy fix! I don’t know about you, but I looooooooove not having a car payment. My car is like yours- had it for 8+ years and I have 126,000 miles on it. I know that’s a lot of miles but Paul doesn’t drive, so it’s our only car and it’s the only one that gets used, so obvi it gets used a lot. Did Taylor Swift lip sync or sing to a track at all or was it live? Or was it a mix?

I think it was a mix. I could definitely tell she was singing live at some points because she would change up the song a little bit, or I would hear her breathe heavy and stuff like that (not saying that it was awkward or bad because she was so impressive). I think she sang live during all the slow songs, and then sang the verses live but maybe lip synced the choruses. I noticed she danced a lot during choruses so I would imagine she had a track playing then.

I like not having a car payment too! If I have to get a new car I will definitely weigh the pros/cons of just buying the car outright vs. financing. I don’t WANT a new car though, I love my car!

If something died in my car I’m at a point that I wouldn’t repair. 11 years old & 130,000 miles. But with all the bike routes, buses, light rails & that my.boyfriend and I work 2 miles apart. Id milk it as long as I could without a car
