Weekly Training Recap: An Exhausting Week
Hey guys! It’s Tuesday which can only mean one thing: it’s weekly workout recap day! (Except for last week when I forgot to post a recap, eek.)
Adam received a couple of questions about his workouts last time he posted his recap so he decided he’s going to film a couple of videos explaining the lifts he does.
Here is the first video of some upper body lifts he likes to do:
Each week for the next couple of weeks he’ll share a new video with a few more lifts. I may even try to get him to talk through the lifts :).
Kristina’s Week at a Glance
Training for: Nothing specific, just base building/maintaining a base.

My schedule called for five days of running, seven days of Jasyoga videos and a couple days of strength training. However, I ended up putting in several long days at work and was just generally exhausted all week.
This may be TMI but I switched birth control pills and I think it wrecked havoc on my body. Not only did I feel exhausted last week but I started my period two weeks early. Ugh, not my best week.

The first week this video really kicked my butt, but last week it felt easier. I think I just wasn’t used to following along with yoga videos the first time around. I like this video a lot, I can definitely feel it working my butt!

Skipped run due to feeling really exhausted from working past midnight the previous night.
5 miles easy run/walk + plank workout.
This was the first run that felt really effortless in a long time. I felt like I blinked and the run was over. I can’t believe how hot out it is already though.

Another skipped run. I was honestly a mess last week. Came home and napped from 5pm until 8pm.

Leg Day + 20 Minute Run

– Bulgarian Split Squat 4×8
– Pull Throughs 3×12 @ 115lbs
– BB Twists 3×8 @ 95lbs
3 miles easy run/walk plus the Jasyoga hip reset and calf reset videos.
I felt totally dead during this run and I have no idea why since I barely ran earlier in the week and I slept in pretty late. The only thing I can attribute it to is the new birth control pills messing with me.
MMA Day (Grappling & Striking)
7 miles easy run/walk plus Jasyoga Power Your Pushoff video.
The first two miles of this run my calves felt suuuuuuper tight, but somewhere in the third mile they really loosened up and after that they felt totally fine. Go figure.
I did make a rookie mistake during this run and I didn’t drink or eat anything until I was 1 hr 15 mins into the run. I felt a pretty big dip in energy at that point, but once I ate half a Gu my energy picked back up and I finished the run with negative splits.
