What I Wore to Work Last Week

Hey there! Hope you had a great weekend. I literally had SUCH a good weekend, but more about that in tomorrow’s vlog. It was just the perfect balance of shopping, sports, relaxing and spending quality time with the fam (Adam and Cecil).

Today I wanted to do another What I Wore style post! Just a reminder, I am not really into fashion like I am into running or makeup or cats. I tend to just wear whatever is comfortable and looks decent enough, so don’t send the fashion police after me! πŸ™‚

Monday:

Simple black sleeveless dress with a B&W stripped cardigan, ballet flats and sterile bandages that are super annoying now.

Tuesday:

Navy blue dress with white polka dots, a white long-sleeved cardigan and ballet flats.

When I was working at the agency my section of the office would get super hot (like a good 5 degrees hotter than the rest of the office) and I always wore sleeveless dresses. Now my office is super cold and I’m all about wearing sweaters!

Wednesday:

B&W patterned skirt, black sleeveless top tucked into the skirt and a black long-sleeved cardigan. I love this skirt so much. I got it last year around this time at Target for like $30! I hope they bring out more like it this year!

If you’re wondering why I’m not wearing a necklace in most of these photos it’s because I have to affix my badge to my top (seen here) and I tend to think it looks messy to wear the badge and a necklace.

Thursday:

Black and white dress with a bright pink cardigan. I am trying to incorporate more color into my life. It’s not an easy thing to do but the effort is there :).

Friday:

Just a basic green dress that I got a couple of years ago with the same flats I wore all week. Just realized I literally wore the same shoes every single day, hah! Kristina, get yourself together!

(Yes I was freezing this day in the office since I didn’t wear a sweater. Note to self: buy more sweaters.)

And that’s a wrap on the week!

I would love to know where you shop for your work clothes, what sites you go to for fashion inspiration, what your favorite comfortable but stylish brands are, etc. I am wanting to build up a bigger wardrobe for the fall and need your advice!

Favorite stores to shop for stylish but comfortable work clothes?
Fave place to shop for stylish but comfortable work SHOES?Β

I have four pairs of flats that I *usually* rotate between.Β

My office has been so cold that Ive had to stop wearing dresses. I buy most of my work clothes at the Loft and sometimes I find stuff at Target too. I recently bought a bunch of cardigans at Old Navy and they were a really good price!

YES! I got my cardigans at Old Navy too. They aren’t the best quality but you can beat the price and they will at least last through fall/winter which is all I can really ask of them,!

You look very put together yet fun with the bright white and the pink. My favorites are Wed, Thurs, and Fri! It’s okay you wore the same shoes- those shoes look great with all of the outfits. The gold necklace looks really good with the green dress. Why do you have to put the badge on your shirt? Can you hang it at the bottom of your sweater? A lot of the teachers at my school wear theirs on a lanyard around their necks but I don’t do that because I hate something long hanging down and getting in the way. I usually hook it on the bottom of my jean jacket and if I take off my jacket, oh well. Everyone knows I work here.

I forgot to mention where I buy my work clothes. I love bopping around Ross, TJ Maxx, and Marshalls. I also like NY&Co and Kohls. Those are the same stores I’ll buy “real” clothes in too!

Thank you! The pink reminds me of Mindy Lahiri (Mindy Kaling’s character on The Mindy Project) so I like it a lot too. I am trying to use her as inspiration for embracing more creative clothes … says the girl who literally wore an all black dress today haha!

I can’t hand my name tag at the bottom of my block because it’s not the kind of clip where you can put it anywhere. It has to be put down on something, does that make sense?

OMG, love your polka dot dress! I’m obsessed with everything polka dot. πŸ™‚

Since I work for myself, my work attire consists of…pajamas and sweatpants, not gonna lie. πŸ˜‰

Thank you! I got it at Old Navy πŸ™‚

My office is an ice cube, so even though it is 90 degrees out I am wearing pants and a sweater today. I never wear my cute skirts/dresses to work because I hate freezing. I wish I did though, because your outfits are so cute!

Right now most of my work clothes are from JCrew, but I am not really loving their latest lines.

I love it all πŸ™‚ You look super cute πŸ™‚
It is nice to have things that are easy rotate. I really miss wearing simple flats everyday, my feet usually cannot tolerate it anymore.

You look so cute! I rarely wear dresses in the summer, because I have to wear pantyhose. I don’t mind wearing skirts with tights and boots in the winter, because it’s warm and comfy. I do wear a cardigan pretty much every day though – I have a collection of about 10 of them from Old Navy. I like being able to take them off if I’m too warm, which isn’t often in my air conditioned office!
