What’s in the Box?

Hey there! I hope you had a great weekend :). I have a vlog of my rainy Sunday … and of a delivery I got on Friday that I am excited to share with you:

I also snuck in a catnap this weekend. I posted this pic on my Instagram stories (@kristinarunning) and if you’re not following along there then you are really missing out on this quality content! I was sort of dreading my run on Saturday. I knew it was going to be the hottest day of the year so far, but I had some HOA stuff I had to do in the morning and couldn’t run until the evening. When I headed out for my run around 6pm it was still 95*F (35*C) with a feels like temp of 105*F (40.5*C).

The run was six miles with a fast finish; my coach had me pick up the pace for the last 1.5 miles. I knew in order to survive this hot run I would need to hydrate with electrolytes throughout (I drank Gatorade) and to take it really easy until it was time to pick up the pace.

Luckily for me at around 4 miles in a very short drizzle happened which felt amazing! I hate running in the rain but this was just a very light rain for about five minutes that felt really refreshing. After that I felt great for the rest of the run!

This coming week is another stepping stone week for me. The last two weeks I’ve run 17 miles and had a long run of 6.0 miles. This week I am moving up to 18.5 miles with a long run of 7.0 miles! Seven miles!!!!! πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚
