Who Stole My Early Morning Running Motivation? + a Funny Comic

I must confess that I did not get up early yesterday to get in my six miles like I said I would. Instead I ended up doing them late afternoon.

During half marathon training I had NO PROBLEM popping out of bed at 5am on the weekend to get a run in. I guess I am lacking motivation.

It was drizzling and kind of chilly yesterday (70 degrees)… and my IT band was bothering me. However, I passed two girls that I always see out on my runs. They always pass me so it was kind of nice to make them eat my dust for once : )

After I got home I was browsing Facebook and came across this:

crayon joke

I thought the comic was pretty funny but I like the comments on it too : ) “Let’s hope he doesn’t resort to violets.” Hahahaha! Just had to share! (You can click to make the picture bigger).

Also just have to share this pic:

Look at that adorable sleepy face! Car rides make Cecil more tired than he normally is… and they also make him extra cuddly. He was constantly in Adam’s or my lap which rarely happens at home!

Cecil enjoyed quite a bit of turkey on Thanksgiving. It might have been the best day of his life.

It’s December?!?!??????

Do you drink hot tea? What kind is your favorite?

– I always make English Breakfast, but I think it’s time to expand my horizons!

The good thing about cool weather is that we can run later and still sleep in!

LOVE hot tea! Any kind really. They have heaps of green tea as the requisite tes over here, but I do love English breakfast tea / black tea with a bit of milk, or earl grey is nice too. Something we’ve been doing recently, ina bid to counteract all the coffees we tend to drink, is to squeeze a bit of lemon juice into green tea, it’s awesome, and makes you feel great instantly.

I know hey, WHERE did the year go?!

Don’t be hard on yourself – your early morning running motivation will come back. Go with the flow and how you feel, and that’s awesome that you still got the run in the arvo (I am hopeless with afternoon or evening runs, they almost never happen, even if I’ve promised myself they will).

You know what kills me? That Chinese tea they serve in restaurants over here is not available for purchase in k-cups! I could drink that tea allllll day and night, but I have a Keurig machine and really need k-cups because I am far too lazy to boil a pot of water (or even put a cup in the microwave?), haha!

I’m weird in that tea hurts my stomach, but somehow coffee feels fine. I know, its odd. I think I am immune to coffee, though after so many years of drinking it. I drink herbal tea at night. Lemon ginger is the best! Cecil looks like one awesome dude!

I think I’m immune to coffee too. I drink it every morning and when I’m extra tired it definitely doesn’t do anything for me!
