Whooo! Negative Splits During the Long Run!
This weekend I had my fastest 11-mile training run and it felt pretty easy!
I negative split the heck out of the run…. although that may have been thanks to the wind being at my back during the second half :).
(I’m getting faster guys! Before you know it all those miles will be in the 12s!)
Mile 11 was run on the treadmill because I miscalculated my route by a mile and I wanted to get into the gym and get a drink of water. Plus, I just didn’t feel like running circles around my block. I’m not a big fan of doing that, I like to have a destination I’m making my way towards.
Got caught here for a minute, of course.
I don’t remember getting caught at the drawbridge this much ever before!
I got a snap of the culprits … SAILBOATS. If I didn’t plan on being a sailboat owner someday I would totally talk trash about them here ;).
Oh well, it was a beautiful morning and stopping to enjoy the scenery (and to take a selfie) for a minute wasn’t all that bad.
In case you’re wondering, yes I do wear this top on every long run. It’s my favorite so of course I have to wear it during my longest run of the week.
But enough about me!

One thing I love about Meg’s video is that she keeps it real and lets you know when things are about to suck and be hard! Being forewarned is nice ;).
